Its usually sell parts or take it to the scrap yard much better for someone that needs the parts to be able to buy them. Typically though no one will buy much just complain once its scrapped.I had an old Dodge pickup with a bad trans ran good and looked pretty good scrap yard said they'd give me $500 if it took it over to them about 5 miles away so I put it on CL for $450 got a bunch of lowball offers then got tired of it all and took it to the scrapyard.In the next couple weeks a couple of the lowballers came by all upset I scrapped it. Said they would have given me the $450 if they thought I really was going to scrap it.Good grief!From then on if I'm going to scrap something I put a date of when I'm going to take it to the scrapyard and I do it.
