I don't know the facts of either but there are hundreds of credible folks that have seen one or the other.
The only Bigfoot I have seen in person is a black painted one cut out of a 4 by 8 sheet of plywood that looks like it is walking. It is by a tree in a yard along a very busy highway right by a JD dealership.
When I have quizzed my friends, none of them have ever noticed it even though they have driven by the yard a hundred times.
