NRCS will cost share stock watering tanks for a spring development. The water flows from an uphill spring to an inlet pipe in the tank, then it flows up through the tank at about 55* to an outlet pipe at the top, which goes on out to a stream or outlet point. Because the water is constantly flowing through the ground at a 55* ambient temp, then back out, it never freezes.
