I've never had it get to me like this. If there was a light at the end of the tunnel it would be different,but it just keeps on. Last April and May have me so scarred that I don't even see it ever being spring again. I have a real fear this pattern will keep up and the same thing will happen again. I just went in to survival mode then and decided that whichever calves survived would be what we had,simple as that. I did all I could do. I'm there with all these animals right now,not much I can do,if they survive they survive. Forget about putting weight on them,it's taking everything just to maintain them.
It's like a cartoon where there's nothing left in the spring,all the furniture has been burned to keep warm.
