606 would be the same vintage, in a closer to the ground utility tractor.
Only thing is it's "next size smaller." About 62HP. You also lose the nice hydraulic TA, and the hydraulic brakes, and the hydrostatic steering, and the 8-speed transmission.
65HP was about the cutoff point for "utility" tractors in the 1960's. Anything bigger was a row crop or a wheatland or an industrial. The difference in height between a row crop and wheatland and industrial is negligible on 1960's tractors. They were basically the same except for some minor styling differences, wheels, and fenders.
If you want a tractor with about the same HP as a 706 but in a utility model, look at the 784 and 884.
