That is nuts.
Some small areas took more fuel to dry late planted crops, but nationally I would be surprised if it took 5% more than normal.
Locally we used less than normal. Corn came out 18 to 15%, used to be common that corn was 20-21% by the end of harvest years ago.
My coop was saying they were short on propane in August, before crops were being harvested here.
Heard on the radio, we historically export 5%, this year we exported 20%.
Next year looks to be the same, only worse for my area, as a pipeline is being rerouted for a different use, and it used to move 40% of the propane used around here....
Will be many more trains and semis running around with compressed propane next year, not sure that is safer. It will not be cheaper!
