Those 3-cylinders can be a pain to bleed. Are you sure you got all the old gaskets out? I've heard of people forgetting one of the old gaskets, which made something line up wrong...not letting any fuel flow. As far as it possibly being the wrong filter... what brand/number filter is it? The Car Quest (made by Wix) number is 86166. Not sure on other brands. Also - a small point...While it may gravity-feed with a full tank, it's not a gravity-fed system. There is a lift pump built into the rotary injection pump.
