The Weather is probably hyped more then in years past but at least in my neck of the woods the winter cycle is really gone to an extreme.
If it's not 0F it's 40F, if it's not snowing it's raining.
As far as I can tell we went almost all winter last year with out a sunny day that was in the mid 20s. This winter is shaping up to be the same.
I want to work on my firewood desperately. First snow, then an ice storm now everything is going soft and muddy on me. I did get some out on Sunday but I couldn't pull the logs all the way up to where I want to buck them up due to mud.
I can deal with snow, I like snow for what it's worth. Ice and mud on the other hand...
Looking at the long rang it's not suppose to cool down here until the weekend and even then it's not getting real cold, more upper 20s low 30s type stuff.
