In heavy soil, 3X14's if you want to plow in 2nd or 3rd gear, 4X14's if you like first or second gear. We pulled a 4X14's Deere fully mounted with our 630 all through the 60's and it generally was too much plow in our black Northwest Iowa soil. Sometimes we could pull it in 3rd gear in the spring in lighter soils plowing corn stalks. Fall plowing was a different story. Do you know how long it takes to make a round in 1/2 mile rows in 1st gear? How do you spell the word boring? Jim
