Hartwell was the one with the biggest problem. It has 1000 miles of shoreline. After the floods we had one week, the Corps of Engineers said the lakes on the Savannah River could not handle another week like that. Lots of drainage area goes into it. Never in 35 years on this place have I seen it so wet and my catfish pond flowing around the spillway so much. I planted 100 pounds of Irish potatoes in a spot that I usually have to water and this year, water stood between the rows so much that they all rotted. Richard
