I need to work on the loading auger on the mixer grinder (JD400). It is a 10 inch auger. It looking to be about the same ones they put on the Arts Way or NH ones.
I did some research about bending some metal for it but am concerned that it won't get a good bend on it. Then I found a place in Hutchinson MN that does poly liners. They are for the cross augers in grain tanks but look to be just perfect for that auger. I went to talk to my welding guy about getting me some sheet metal and he mentioned that stuff. If he mentions it I feel pretty confident about it. Supposedly it is indestructible as long as it is fastened well and no grain can get behind it.
Has anyone used the poly materials from May Wes? Anyone used this product under auger flighting?
