Bill pretty well nailed it. Also, the early ones (unstyled or "flat top") didn't have electric start. Another thing to keep an eye on is the rims. A lot of them had fluid in them and over the years can be pretty rusted. Replacements can be found, but are not cheap. They did make something like 170 thousand of them, so used parts are easy to come by. The engine is the same basic engine as the later WD and WD45, so all the rotating parts can be found new. Great little tractors, but on any modern hobby farm, they are very limited in function. Drawbar, PTO, and belt power is all you've got.
