That's not what I said or meant,his gen is 30-40 yrs.old or older and if the power shaft is the same then you would need to know maybe whose shaft it is and almost no one(TSC-NAPA-Farm Fleet or like)is going to have something in stock.A shield will run 30 to 80 Dollars depending on make,a COMPLETE PTO shaft will run around 300 give or take.Or you can find a good used one for the price of the shield.Some times it is better to bite the bullet then mess around and it still not be right.
