I was at that awkward age from the late 80's thru the early 2000's where I was on a first name basis with every undertaker in the towns my far flung family lived in. Most of the family were old farmers and still had pets. It only seemed natural to the remaining family that I should be given GrandPa's dog or Auntie's cat, you name it. Add my 2 young kids to this and my place was a circus for years! I've always had a shelter dog or drop off, these seem to be the best ones. Former wife was tolerant of them, she is a "townie" and her Father didn't care for animals as such she didn't grow up with them or understand them. Kept telling her 'they're just another kid'. Things have settled down now, with the wife gone and 1 grown kid at home, all I have is Leggie dog who has enough crazy for 3 dogs! I still prefer a decent dog over most people!
