I saw him pull in the mid 70's in Saginaw when I was a teen. I didn't realize what a historical thing it was at the time. The local folks laughed at his ugly tractor but I am a WWII airplane fan and knew what an Allison v-12 was. It was awesome when he went full pull. One time he was disqualified when his little 5lb extinguisher fell off an was run over by the sled.
