My three point hitch would not work when we hit freezing. I brought it inside to thaw and it eventually started working. I found the oil to be milky with some water, so I changed it. The hitch now goes up but in a slow jerky motion. It goes down smoothly. It would not lift my snow blower. also this thing has the draft control which just shows basically up and down. I thought I read to just leave the other lever in the up position. It also has a down area, a transport area and a continuous flow area. Am I right in saying that I just control my height with the draft lever? The other lever doesn"t make much difference no matter where I set it. If I have the draft lever perhaps midway, I can get some movement with the position lever. My understanding is that position lever is more for in ground implements. Is that right? That lever was basically seized in the up position. So I am assuming that is where the previous owner just kept it all the time. Just not sure If I need to start taking that top cover off to see what is the matter there. Any advice would be appreciated.
