Rich - It matters WHICH axles you have! Some ARE designed for "one time use". Some even had plastic bearings. The manufacturer I workered for didn't want to see them back. Even the ones that DID come back were refurbished, and sent to dealers. NONE were ever used again. The ones that came back were usually off houses set over basements - "park" houses kept them.
Now TIRES - they ALL came back - unless the HO paid extra for them.
I have a trailer with two MH axles under it. The AXLES aren't bad, but them TIRES are JUNK! I carry 2-3 spares, and wouldn't trust it farther then about 10-20 miles from home. Turn just a TINY bit too sharp with a load, and they pop off the rim!
I'm planning on replacing the hubs and spindles this spring.....
