If a buck suffers serious injury to a front leg it often results in grossly mismatched antlers. My son wrote a short story a few years back about using his only tag on an old warror with a bad leg. The buck had a deformed but interesting rack. Son shot him because smaller but healther bucks were giving him a bad time. Best he could figure,the crippled deer's odd way of walking looked threating.
