My son had a fuel problem with his Freightliner with a Cat engine earlier this week. Temp was -10 but he's been running in temps as low as that off-and-on ever since it started getting cold. The problem began when he fueled at this one local station he has used for long time. Rumor has it this station still has a little summer biofuel in it's tanks. Some other truckers have quit fueling at that station because of it. Cats seem to have more problems in extreme cold temps. Some guys claim Cat uses finer micron filters. The filters are up on the side of the engine so they're easy to get at if that's any consolation. Jim
