I keep mine in the same shed as all my machines in the winter if there is no more grass for them in the fields. Feeding them in the shed is much easier than outside in the dark after I get home from work. Besides the law here says they must have a dry place to lie down in the winter months. Best to have them in the field with access to a shed so they can decide where to be depending on the weather. The last two years I have been blessed with enough grass to let them work on all summer and winter so I just let them go without a fence and kept the shed door open. They spend most of the time in the field and only use the shed when it gets too wet/cold/windy in the winter or too hot in the summer. We have typical winter temps between +10 and -30 C (50 and -22 F) often shifting between frost and thaw and summer temps between +10 and +30 C (50 and 86 F).
This spring I lost a lamb to the fox and one year he killed an ewe and her lambs when she was lambing but normally I don't consider them to be a threat. We have very few eagles here but wolves might be something to worry about in the future as they have recently started immigrating.
