: Have yall seen the slow tractor races at antique tractor club get-togethers? My club (West Ga. 2 Cylinder Club) has slow races and tractor pulls twice a year. My JD 40 Standard (wide front) has been very successful in winning these races. It can get down low and make the tires jerk every time a piston fires. Theoretically, a 40 Utility or M tuned the same should be slower due to smaller diameter rear tires, but I have not found one yet. I hear that a JD 50 should perform the best due to lower overall gearing than other models, but I have not seen the numbers for the ratios. So, has anybody got a super-slow tractor or some super-slow tips? Last year at Eaton, OH a U Moline won. I don't know how he kept it running, but I think the storm cap popped up and down as each cylinder fired. I saw a JD B in one that was running so slow you could count the fly wheel revolution. When I get my CO-OP C done I would like to enter it. It seems to roll pretty slow...
