Regardless of what tractor it came from you got it cheep enough. That type wide front didn't come out until 1954, but IH sold it as a attachment for H and M if someone wanted to install them on the previous built tractors. One for a H fits H through 350. One for the M fit M through 450. Parts were the same for both except the steering arm (different bolt patterns) Ball socket support that bolts to the frame rails(different width between the two) and the spindles, H through 350 cast wheels fit the one intended for a H and M through 450 wheels fit the other. Since you needed M cast wheels that wide front could have came from a SMTA. But if the steering arm and the frame support fit you have mixed parts. Nothing wrong with that if it fits.
