Peoplenet is competition to qualcom. Peoplenet has a distinct advantage by logging by the second. So if it takes 5 min. to fuel, that's what you log. I find I get enough extra hours through that every week that it's better with the electronic log. I won't go back. The off duty rule is 10 hours off duty/sleeper or any combo of both. Nowhere does it say you need 8 hours in the sleeper.
