You are just about dead on. I picked up a 950 Deere years back from a friend that needed the an extra $6,500 in divorce money. It had 28" turfs on it, same identicle pattern. They were about the most useless tires I'd ever run across. If not on perfectly flat land, AND dry flat land at that, that sun of a gun wouldn't budge because they were like slicks. And now that you mention it, it was about a $1,000 to replace them with 8 ply Goodyears as I recall. Got them before Goodyear got out of the AG tire business. That is my bionic compact tractor. Another $3,000 in splitting it, new clutch, rebuild trans. I figure I got the only $10,000+ Deere 950 in the world. Son of a gun, I forgot all about that until I saw them turfs and you mentioned $1,000 to replace them. $10,000 950 Deere. Ahh man, I better mosey on out to that barn, turn on the lights, look at it and pinch myself. Hold on, I will be right back.
Yep, its down there. Sure is. What was I thinking? He was married to her, not me. What was I thinking? He still owes me a whole lot of beer, that guy. Somebody asked the other day about what dumb stuff we did? There's another one.
