I have to say something here.
Why is it that a healthy guy that is 45 and does not smoke would pay the same amount for health insurance as a 400 pound guy that is a walking trainwreck of a person? Think about life insurance, I had to give a blood sample and urine sample and they took down my height and weight and checked my driving record to get a term policy.. Why? Cause the insurance company does not want to be out $250k if I die of a heart attack in a year. Think about car insurance....If a guy that is reckless driver he pays more for insurance, right? It should be the same with health insurance. It would put an incentive to not smoke and eat pig slop from Mcdonalds everyday.
As far as the monthly ins. premiums that you are quoted. $ 450 per month isnt that bad. I agree that it is expensive and it sucks.
