It takes talent and time to make it right.The problem is, everyone wants to make a quick buck and that cuts into quality.There always has been, and still are, those who take pride in making "Shine" and have quite a reputation and following. Years ago, one of my uncles had a friend who farmed, ran a sawmill, made a little "Shine" on the side, one of those hardworking people just trying to feed his family. He gave my uncle a half gallon jar of peach brandy that he had made. Absolutely delicious! Tasted like warm peach juice, but then in a few minutes,talk about a warm fuzzy feeling----! I have always been sympathetic to moonshiners, because of the reasons why it is illegal. With the Feds, it is not a matter of morality,it is simply a matter of legality, in that if you don't pay taxes on it, it is illegal to make it.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
