Use the highest CCA that will jam into the battery box. Use a 2/00 ground cable with soldered or swagged ends. Use starter mounting bolt to fasten the ground down. A 1000CCA battery will have higher voltage at the coil and starter than a 600CCA battery. Bigger is better. As previously stated. A coolant heater is always a good idea even if the engine will start without it.
