When they ask who they are talking to my response is WHO DID YOU CALL. Pull the old Seinfeld trick, say you are busy now but if you give me your home phone number I will call you back later. The old Laugh In line, is this the party to whom I am speaking?? Sometimes when the caller asks if they can speak to my wife (and I sort of know its a telemarket call etc) I SIMPLY SAY NO YOU CANT. If they follow up and ask but is she there etc., I say yes shes here but you cant speak to her. They usually give up after that.
