It might be correct as it is. The larger tractor got the new paint jobs eariler than the smaller models. The early 420s, for example, were all green (even though we'd all think that was wrong). It could be that it's really a 720 with 70 decals - check the serial number plate. If it's a really late model 70, it may well have been painted that way at the factory. My 420C is somewhat strange in a similar way. It has the engine block and direction reverser from the 430/440 series machines, but was built as a 420. It has a really high serial number, so I suspect that the long lead-time parts for the 430s were used to make up the last few hundred 420s. I can tell you from years of development engineering, things like this are quite common when dealing with production!
