George, A similar question was asked a few weeks ago, hydrogen cars are already out. Chevrolet Equinox and the Honda FCX just to name two. Around 2007 time frame.
Your real question is a great one.
People say hydrogen is clean, yet to produce it, the energy input is astronomical, typically a coal burning electric plant.
