I went in to pick up a repaired tire, at S&S tire this morning, and out of curiosity, I asked what new 12.4x28" tires would cost. He immediately told me that no one can afford Firestone, and didn't even look for them. He quoted me $280. apiece for Sampson 8 ply's, and $50. more apiece for BKT, and said that Titan was not available to us out here, on the coast. I realize that it will be more with tubes, labor, and taxes, but I belive I can afford a pair of Sampson's. Some one has to be the guenia pig!
