Don't sweat it to much Harvey2. I enjoyed the discussions about mainstreet USA. I studied retailing and demographics for a living and it is interesting to watch the changes over time and understand what drives that change.
That does not mean I am not nostalgic about my old hometown. I just don't want to live there anymore.
I find there are 4 or 5 different types of posters on this site.
1) The "tractors/trucks/equip. only" folks.
2) The social/political ranters (me included)
3) The lifestyle posters ..scenery, crops, weather
4) The personal posters...back hurts, prayer requests, dog died.
