Ben! I also am not a GM user, however I think you are on the right track, with not using od while towing, especially with auto. Normaly if I am going to tow with an auto, I have a shift kit, and oil cooler installed, However you need it now, and don't have the time to get that installed. Lets hope that it is already there.
