The safety police would have a cow if they saw my shredder that is used to cut hay. It is a rhino 5 ft 'hog, but I took a cutting torch and removed most of the left sidewall. That way the hay is scattered instead of being left in a pile. I use this rig in the cooler weather spring and fall because the hay will cure in just a couple of days because it is shredded and tedded in one pass. I do not own a haybine or crimper. In the warmer weather, I use a drum mower and a tedder if needed.
