I have had good experiences with them. I was an "early adopter" of LED lights a few years back, and have a half-dozen or so outside in North Dakota wind and cold, and have yet to have one fail.
Unlike mercury, metal halide or florescent, they light INSTANTLY even in below-zero temps.
I have a number of LED worklights, as well, and have not had a lamp failure and they get whacked around quite a bit!
I am surprised some others have had problems with them.
