Hardly the Midwest, but here, just as tom says, it is blended in at the terminal going onto the truck. That way the last outfit to handle it is the one stuck with dealing with any issues. My dealer had to pump out and clean his 10000 gal. tank after hauling the first of that home to his storage. Tank had never had anything but gas in it, but the ethanol loosened a lot of sludge. I was afraid of the same trouble with my tanks, but haven't had any trouble with tanks or vehicles.
