Actually the New Holland does have a four bar pickup. They do not offer a three bar pickup. If that's what you are referring to. Also the BR7060 Silage Special has the endless mini rough top belts that are very gentle with the crop. Since the acquisition of Case IH by Fiat Case IH now gets their hay equipment from New Holland where they used to get it from Hesston.
As far as an older baler I would get a New Holland, there should be some nice earlier BRs out there.
The main reason I would get a New Holland is the front feeding net wrap and the combination roller/belt bale chamber. You will have the best shaped bales and with the front feeding net wrap the wrap will travel less than an inch from the actuator to the bale and you can see from the tractor that the net wrap is working. The other brands have a rear feeding net wrap that relies on the belts to pull the wrap into the chamber.
