Very cute and also explains one reason why JD was so popular back then as a farmer could get his kids using the hand clutch about 5 yrs earlier than he could any foot clutch tractor simply because their legs just weren't long enough and strong enough yet. Even today a properly set hand clutch can be finessed far better than one can with a foot clutch. Don't think JD did it for that reason but it was a welcome advantage after the fact.RB
