If you have power coming out of your light switch with only the power wire connected and the light switch turned on then you must have a short leading to one of your lights causing the drain. I would disconnect the wire from the switch that leads to your lights. (May be more than one wire). Then I would take a small trickle battery charger and hook it up to the wire(s) one at a time that lead to the lights. The battery charger won't fry any shorted wire and it's a process of elimination. When the battery charger pegs the needle out to the highest amperage you found the wire with the short. Just talking from my experience.
