B&D, this is not a commercial for tours, but we took a 13 day bus tour of Ireland and thoroughly enjoyed it. We did spend a day or two in Dublin, but several days were spent in the countryside and small towns. We took a one-day side trip with a local historian and found the home of my ancestors. On the flip side, we have friends who have been there more than once and they rent a car and do their own driving. I think we would have missed a lot if I was driving.
