Jake, Not sure if this is much help. Picked up a Meyer blade for scrap. Cylinders were junk. Torched off a few brackets, then welded up a couple of supports to slide over/under the bucket. Chain it down and go. I didn't care if it pivoted at that time. Now I have a quickattach on this tractor and may add a cylinder out there as soon as I get the hydraulics finished.
You can still push a lot of snow with the blade straight.
Your idea sounds ok, a QA plate is around $150. But if you are going to make it swivel you will still need a little frame in front of it. I assume the new tractor already has a QA on the loader.
