I'd had a 85, 87, 88, and 91 4WD wagon. All were good utilitarian cars that would go places at times that full size 4WD trucks would not. Front CV joints went bad often and many small electrical problems. 1.8 engines.
Then got a 1995 AWD Impreza with the 2.2 engine with 4 speed automatic. Still have it with 260,000 miles and original exhaust system. Problably one of the best Subarus ever made. Only major repairs in 260K miles are wheel bearings.
Then got a 2002 Impreza Outback AWD wagon with the 2.5. Worse Subaru I ever owned. Recalled for rust problems and computer glitches. Two wheel bearings failed at 80K miles. Head gaskets failed at 120K miles. Clutch at 110K miles. Two exhaust systems by 120K miles. Many annoying electrical problems and overall - poorly engineered. Too much engine for the gearing and spun 2800 RPM @ 65 MPH in 5th-overdrive.
Then got a 2005 Forester and if anything - it was even worse then the 2002 Impreza.
I'm all done with Subarus. They were great utilitarian cars that got ruined in my opinion. Their "love" commercials could make a maggot puke.
Hey, maybe they've gotten better now? I'll never find out. I'd take a Ford Escape over any Subaru. More reliable, handles better, and better fuel mileage.

Nevertheless, the heat didn't keep vendors and visitors alike from enjoying the third annual Country Day's Event. Jane Elliott said the event was originally a one man show. "Barry Seiler, owner of Country Town Farm Supply store used to invite people up to the Johne Deere store. He would give hats and a free meal for everyone that brings a tractor." Elliott said while this
