I remember when the first ones came over here in about 1972-73 as I worked in an Olds/AMC/Jeep dealership body shop and they were one of the first dealers over here to get them. Little pancake 4 in a tin box and if I remember right were rear engine/drive. Pile of junk back then but have came a long ways. Hard to believe that the "Big Three" in sales are Toyota , GM and VW in that order now.
