Don't matter, when the CaseIH factory rep tells you that you would be better off with a JD or MF in that size and knowing Fiat's past track record I'm not at all sure that Fait isn't going to do great harm to CaseIH/New Holland. I don't farm the land needed for a 435 or a 4X4 tractor for that matter. I could use another tractor, in the 60-90 HP range. Something for baling or running a haybine. Because of financing I did briefly look at new ones. I can afford one I just don't want the payments.

As far as ratings, J.D.Powers would be one of the few places I would check if buying a new vehicle. I wouldn't ask friends for sure because Marv would tell me Chevy, Nate would be Ford and my BIL would tell me RAM. They are all 3 tried and true loyal to their brands. I've seen people buy a vehicle (nephew comes to mind, Dodge Neon) who put up with a ridiculous amount of repairs because it "looks cool". Once he had that thing out of warranty it was always in the shop and cost him a small fortune. I've seen others who claimed it "was a good car/truck" just because they didn't want to look the fool for buying it in the first place. As a prior poster said, "I own a 19__/20__, _________ pickup/car, that has __________ miles on it. I average _____ MPG and have had no/the following problems". Then you have to count on that person telling the truth.

I know several people who would tell you that the HEMI is a joke. Granted they all owned the early ones that came out right after the re-release. Complaints range from mechanical issues to poor mileage and lack of power. Know one couple who got one, horse people, really bad mileage and couldn't pull their 2 place "Feather-lite" aluminum trailer in OD. The guy had been a big MOPAR fan, now he drives GM. The new RAM could be the best truck in the world and that guy will tell you it's a piece of junk.

Today's Featured Article - History of the Nuffield Tractor - by Anthony West. The Nuffield tractor story started in early 1945.
