Dying is a separate issue probably related to the AIS motor, especially since it started right up. They can shift as described with the V-6 engine. It only takes a slight grade to "grade hunt". If the transmission shifts solidly into torque converter lock and there are no codes in the PCM, then you are probably ok on the torque converter, at least for now. Chrysler scan tools should be able to do a "kill test" on the torque converter to determine the TCC holding capability. Gerard
