Keep them out of the sun. One thing that some people don't realize is that some/all/most tire mfgrs use a chemical in the tire that keeps the rubber supple so that it doesn't dry up and crack. This requires the tire to be exercised at some frequency to keep the plasticizers moving through the tire to keep it from cracking.
For an implement, sitting in a field for years in the bright sunlight all bets are off. However, I have some GY rib tires of about 670x15, implement rib, for a number that have had such offensive treatment for at least 8 years and no signs of splitting and cracking yet. I just assume that GY knows what abuse the tires will receive and puts extra emollients in the tires to combat the obvious.
