Our club(Thunder Mountain Flywheelers) does a ride every fall.We usually have between 5-10 tractors.Tractors must be capable of maintaining 10 mph.All tractors must have a SMV.Lights on is advised. No riders are permitted. We pull a 'hayrack'(people mover) for wives, kids, those who want to particpate and dont have a tractor. We have a members wife who is severly disabled, the wagon lets her participate. It is NOT a public "hayride"(members/guests only). We Travel about 25 miles total. We make a circle through the countryside, stopping for lunch at a small town Cafe(make reservations).About 4-5 hours total.Check local laws.An Escourt may be required.Leave enough room for passing motorists to get between while passing.Have 1or two tractors to have a tow chain.5 gal of gas is handy, but not required(yes some folks do run out of gas).Drivers must be 16 with a drivers liscence(our club really doesnt enforce this).Above all, be SAFE and have fun!!!
