Bought my first tractor

Well with the good advice of Jim I declined to purchase an MF Super90. Instead I bought a JD 2510 with 46A loader. The tractor is in excellent condition with everything working well. I have a question on the loader for those who may have some experience. The loader is in fair shape and lifts about anything. The only problem is when I lower the loader it doesn't lower smoothly. It tends to move quickly and when stopped midway to the ground it jerks the tractor up and down quite a bit. The hydraulics seem strong since the loader will stay in its top position overnight with not more than an inch or so movement downward.
Does anyone have an idea what might cause this? Thanks again, PJ
