Not factory to my knowledge. Yea some people did in fact paint the 00 series to the 50 series scheme. I've also read that when the 50 series came out some dealers painted the 00's to get them to sell. If it's a professional looking job but very old paint that's most likely what you got. Or it could be a restore with a shop applied paint job that the owner didn't know the correct colors.
