Does it have a lift pump? I've got three Isuzu's here and none have lift pumps. The Diesel-Kiki Bosch-clone rotary/distributor injection pump has its own built in lift-pump that draws fuel from the tank. I had trouble twice like you describe and it was diesel-bacteria plugging up the fuel screen inside the fuel tank. But that was with a C223 Isuzu in my little pickup truck. Your rig may not have a screen in the tank. I'm not sure if you've got the rotary or in-line pump. C240s came with either.
